01 / The reason we’re here

A full bowl is a beginning.
A nourished child has a whole life ahead.

Parents want their children to eat well, grow and thrive. They shouldn’t have to work it all out alone.

We bring food and practical knowledge together. Our products are made in Tanzania. Our nutrition team shares advice in Swahili. And our retail partners help bring both closer to home.

Our founding story

It began with my sister.
And her daughter, Rahma.

My sister was a new mum, struggling to feed her baby. I wanted to help, so I looked online for advice. What I found helped us—and made me wonder how many other parents needed the same support.

That question became Jua Lishe Bora, a Facebook community sharing nutrition advice in Swahili. More parents joined, we began teaching online classes, and their questions helped shape what came next.

Today, Lishe360 brings together food and free nutrition guidance for children and mothers. Our first products followed in 2022, and we incorporated in 2023. But the reason behind it all hasn’t changed: I want more parents to have the food, knowledge and confidence to help their children thrive.
