2016 / A community begins
Jua Lishe Bora
Nutrition advice shared in Swahili grows into a place for caregivers to ask, learn and exchange experiences.
Our story
One family’s question became a community. That community helped shape the company we are building today.
My sister was a new mum, struggling to feed her baby. I wanted to help, so I looked online for advice. What I found helped us—and made me wonder how many other parents needed the same support.
That question became Jua Lishe Bora, a Facebook community sharing nutrition advice in Swahili. More parents joined, we began teaching online classes, and their questions helped shape what came next.
Today, Lishe360 brings together food and free nutrition guidance for children and mothers. Our first products followed in 2022, and we incorporated in 2023. But the reason behind it all hasn’t changed: I want more parents to have the food, knowledge and confidence to help their children thrive.
